Weaver Starts Season at Boyd's and Talladega
(March 18, 2019) The SWR Racing team and young driver Cameron
Weaver struck out to Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and Talladega
Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on March 16-17 for a pair of Crate
Late Model battles. On Saturday in a $1,500 to win special at Boyd's
during the 'Shamrock,' Cameron clicked off the fastest lap in Group
A during qualifying to earn the pole position for the headliner.
After leading most of the feature, Cameron had trouble putting a
car a lap down, which resulted in him losing the top spot and contact
eventually cut down his right rear tire. The Crossville, Tennessee
native wound up being paid for a fifteenth place effort at the Chattanooga-area
oval. On Sunday in a regular show at TST, Cameron advanced to third
in his heat race prior to winding up tenth in the A-Main after an
unfortunate spin. Full results from both venues can be accessed
